By definition Trivial means "of little value or importance" this image would seem just that when we discover above the deck stands the great 'Santa Monica Pier' we see such poles as structural necessities rather than structural beauties, that's where this photo shines a light into whats regularly overlooked, the power of the rising sun created a cold foreground and the narrow opening of light piercing through, the eyes journey is led through the frame guided by the repetition, enhancing the claustrophobic sensation with this 2x1 crop.
