Burning Hills
Cornwall, England
Staring out toward Warren Point, I knew exactly the frame I wanted. We’d scouted it earlier, mapped the composition, all that was left was the light. Sunset lit the hills on fire, spilling gold across the cliffs, but the sky above was flat and empty. The shot needed more.
Just as I’d started to pack up, a few dense clouds began to gather, slow, perfect, and out of nowhere. I sprinted back to the original spot, light changing by the second, hands shaking more than I’d like to admit.
The result: a chaotic but balanced frame, where everything finally came together. Tension, calm, and that tiny orange window where sea meets sky.
