Down by the rocks

San Francisco, USA

Leaning into San Francisco’s signature fog, I opted for a long exposure to soften the tide and echo the atmosphere rolling in overhead. Instead of chasing the usual angles of the Golden Gate Bridge, I embraced the moody stillness from below, where the sea, stone, and sky blur into something quiet and strange.

There’s a sense of balance here: the bridge suspended between layers of water and mist, its structure silhouetted by shifting greys. The darker tones anchor the composition, drawing out the finer details and letting the fog do what it does best, transform the familiar into something beautifully uncertain.
