Passage

Prague, Czech Republic

An early morning wander led me to this hidden canal, a quiet corridor of colour and character tucked behind the city’s bustle. What struck me most was how the architecture seemed to speak in harmony, each building painted in a tone that, together, created a story.

Colour plays a huge role in shaping emotion, and here it’s front and centre. Primary hues, yellow, red, and even a whisper of blue, stand bold and intentional. Yet it’s the muted green building that steals the show, worn and weathered with time, stained by rain and history. Ironically, the older buildings surrounding it appear well-kept, their warm façades masking the years they’ve seen.

I set up my 10-stop filter and captured a 5-minute exposure to allow the water to smooth into stillness, an echo of time slipping by. The beauty lies in the layers, the lived-in imperfections, and the quiet corners that cities quietly evolve around.
